Field Work-System is an unconventional productivity solution.
The multi-desk, work and storage system lets you create personalised, preset working environments to manage your day. Research shows that adaptable workspaces have great benefits. However, optimising and re-shuffling a workspace during the day can be time consuming.
Use the Field Work-System to curate personalised work-boards (perhaps task- oriented), use them interchangeably as ‘presets’ throughout your day and gain the advantages of a more purposeful, immediate & adaptable working style. Colourful & portable work-boards make setting-up and packing-away your workspace more efficient, and provides a new and alternative way to be organised.
The removable work boards (which are vertically stored whilst not in use) differentiate Field Work-System from conventional shelf/ storage and desk spaces.
This design caters particualrly well to hybrid working , and in shared home / office spaces.
In response to the blur of home and work environments the design’s aesthetic is intended to use warmer and organic materials which are better suited to a home setting.
We typically have one workspace to has to accommodate different types of work, our workspace has to be the jack-of-all trades- Field Work-System encourages the user to be more deliberate with their surroundings- configuring one or more 'presets' which activates a working area. At the end of a session/ task/ day, the board can be returned to the storage system to help compartmentalise and promote a healthy work life balance. The boards provide of all-in-one movement when tidying etc. For added convenience, the open-front storage is handy for storing papers, books and cables etc.
The design is composed of uprights, fixed to storage trays & portable work boards. Straightforward clamping for height adjustment and a mechanism to lock the portable boards to the subframes make interactions and modular adjustment easy.
